Himeji has some delicious sweets. Solted and sweet bun "Shiomi Manju", Karinto, Karinto Manju, etc...
My favorite is Karinto Manju of Houkitsu.
Manju is bun. Karinto is sugar confectionery. Karinto Manju is fried bun, and there is sweet bean "Anko, Azuki" inside.
Houkitsu is my best store of Karinto Manju.
Because it is not oily and the outside is crisp.This is very delicious.
This includes eggs. So vegetarians should be careful.
Houkitsu stores are not near Himeji Station. There are in Kameyama, Nozato, Shirahamanomiya and Higashi Kakogawa, etc...
After seeing the castle, it is recommended to go a little more by train.
